The film Memories of my Heart was screened to a diverse, eager audience yesterday, 15th October 2010 and was well received by all present. Infact it received a standing ovation! Ini Edo really put many of her critics to rest with this one! The event was well represented by the creme de la creme of the acting and entertainment world namely; Richard Mofe-Damijo, Zik Zulu Okafor, Uche Jombo, Stella Damasus, Tonto Dike, Monalisa Chinda, Emem Isong, Rukky Sanda, Chidi Mokeme, Mike Ezuruonye, Desmond Elliot, Fred Amata and many others. The event started a little behind schedule with opening prayers and the National Anthem being sung by Stella Damasus. The artist Slam later came up to give a musical performance where he sang a song incorporating Ini's name. The actress who was accompanied by her parents, siblings and husband Philip Ehiagwina swayed and moved to the beat. Stella Damasus later came on and sang a beautiful love song, setting the scene for the movie screening. After the screening, it received thunderous applause. Ini then gave a speech thanking everyone and called up for curtain call and recognition, those behind the production like Emem Isong who co-produced andDesmond Elliot who directed.
