'DAMAGE' SET TO PREMIERE AT SILVERBIRD GALLERIA LAGOS!
'Damage' the latest offering from Uche Jombo is set to premiere on July 31st 2011 at the Silverbird Cinemas and from there, for onward release in cinemas nationwide! 'Damage' is part of a collection of three distinct but interwoven stories, aimed at advocacy for social issues; each story addresses important problems affecting individuals, families and societies at large. The movie aims to break new grounds in creating precedents in the Nigerian movie industry. After the run in theatres in Nigeria it is set for release in the United Kingdom on the 26th to the 29th of August. Plans for it to show in the United States in October is also on ground. Damage will be screening in Cinemas across the country as from August 5th.

The Premiere of the film, 'Kiss and Tell' has come and gone but it is one that will not go away anytime soon in memories of those who attended.
The event started at about 5pm with photographs being taken on the Red Carpet set at the Rotunda of Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island, Lagos.Stars present that rocked the house were Uche Jombo, Chioma Chukwuka-Akpotha, Joe Benjamin, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Brian Okwara, O.C.Ukeje, Kalu Ikeagwu, Stephanie Okereke,Enyinna Nwigwe, Susan Peters and several others. It was a mixing and mingling of personalities from the corporate world like Shell, Diamond bank, Zenith bank, RAA staff, student and alumni as well as Government officials. They all mingled with several talents from Nollywood such as veteran producers , directors; Mahmood AliBalogun, Zik Zulu Okafor, Fred Amata, Sam Dede etc and upcoming talents like Uru Eke, Chelsea Eze, Beverly Naya, Bryan Okwarra etc. Ofcourse also present were hosts Monalisa Chinda and Emem Isong seeing to it that everything worked out okay. Popular Television stations (which were well represented) were MNET's JARA tv show, Nollywood Movies on Sky UK, STV, Nigezie, Galaxy TV to name a few and various print media such as Genevieve Magazine, Wow! City People etc.
While this was going on there were cocktails, small chops on hand to quench rumbling stomachs and parched throats! This lasted till about 8pm when guests were ushered upstairs to watch the much anticipated movie, 'Kiss and Tell. After the crowd was treated to a couple of upcoming trailers the movie proper started. A hush fell over the hall as all were sucked into the story between Iyke and Delphine (characters played by Monalisa and Joesph Benjamin. I tell you, a new Nollywood hunk has been born! Joe Benjamin is the shiznit! lol! Antics from Nse Ikpe Etim, Desmond Elliot,Uche Jombo and ofcourse Monalisa Chinda added the cherry to the cake! The movie ended to thunderous applause and all let the hall with their 'Kiss and Tell' goodie bags. Executive producer, Monalisa Chinda could not contain her emotions, close to tears she said; 'I am so overwhelmed at the turn out! People standing... many sitting on the floor just to get a glimpse of the movie! God is truly awesome. Emem Isong was also of like mind; 'All I can say is God is indeed great! We have been surprised beyond measure. I just want to thank everyone for coming and enjoin those that couldn't catch it to go watch it when it comes out in the cinemas'. Selected guests then went on to the After party at high brow club,'The Marque' at the Mega Plaza Complex where they danced into the wee hours of the morning!
'Kiss and Tell' continues to run in cinemas from the 1st of July 2011 at all Silverbird Cinemas nationwide. A recommended Must watch! Enjoy more pics!
