DEAN OF STUDIES RAA, UDUAK OGUAMANAM ON TED!

Recently Dean of Studies, Royal Arts Academy and fast rising writer/film producer Uduak Isong Oguamanam (Okon Lagos, Kokomma) was a speaker at the prestigious TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) event.This particular event was at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife. TED is a global set of conferences owned by the private non-profit Sapling Foundation under the slogan “ideas worth spreading”. She spoke on the Nigerian film industry with the title of her speech being ‘Half empty or half full glass? Listen Up!

EMEM ISONG GETS SET TO RELEASE 'FORGETTING JUNE'!

Ace movie producer Emem Isong is at it again!  This time she gets set her latest effort 'Forgetting June'. In the movie 'A young happily married couple who are madly in love experience the unthinkable! The wife goes on a trip and is involved in a terrible accident. She thrown from the car and loses her memory. The husband is extremely distraught but some years later finds love in the arms of another, only for the wife regain her memory and come back home! 


The movie was produced by Emem Isong, Directed by Ikechukwu Onyeka,written & co-produced by Uduak Oguamanam and stars  Majid Michel, Mbong Amata & Beverly Naya, Biola Williams & Chuks Chukwujekwu. Look out for it! Coming soon! Check out some behind-the-scene pix!

NEW DVD RELEASES FROM ROYAL ARTS ACADEMY!


Royal Arts Academy your foremost film production company has announced the following DVD film releases for the remaining part of the year.
Set for release in June 2013.


‘Desperate House Girls’ produced by Uduak Oguamanam
Starring  Ini Edo-Ehiagwina, Desmond Elliot, Kenneth Okolie Tamara Eteimo, Mary Lazarus, Benjamin Touitou, May Danglish.
Directed by Desmond Elliot .
Story/Screenplay: Uduak Isong Oguamanam.

Synopsis: Three beautiful, smart, young girls have had enough of the ghetto life. In a bid to step up their game, they decide to become house girls to rich families. Their mission is simple: Get rich by whatever means.

‘Misplaced’ – produced by Uche Jombo-Rodriguez. 

Starring Uche Jombo, Van Vicker, Bobby Obodo, Charles Okafor. Screenplay by Uduak Oguamanam and Rita Onwurah.
Directed by Tom Robson.
Synopsis;  Debbie Odukoya (Uche Jombo) is stuck in a loveless marriage with her husband (played by Charles Okafor) and yearns for love in its truest form. She finds solace in writing in iPad which is invariably stolen by ex-convict Osas (Bobby Obodo) who decides to browse through before selling it off, only to be faced with Debbie’s truest desires. Can he resist the chance to step in and be that Knight-in-shining-armour?

Firebrand – Produced by Emem Isong & Morris Sesay

Starring Monalisa Chinda, Chioma Chukwuka-Akpotha, Ngozi Nwosu and Joseph Benjamin. Directed by Desmond Elliot.
Synopsis; Fabian is in engaged to Feyi, a spoilt rich girl living on her family inheritance. Along the line he meets Stella who starts working in his company and in her, he finds his missing link. Feyi however, is not ready to give up so easily and is not above framing her for theft. Fabian is now torn between his love for her and having her arrested for theft.

Synopsis: Aima is kicked out of her sister’s house and has nowhere to go. Rescue comes in the person of Charles her colleague who she believes is gay. Aima accepts to stay in his place with his room mate but she somehow can’t shake the nagging feeling that his ‘gay’ might just mean ‘happy’! Is he? Isn’t he? Only time will tell.

Stolen Tomorrow

WHEN KENNY SAID 'I DO'....

Royal Arts lecturer and ace scriptwriter Kehinde Joseph got married to his long term girlfriend Nseobong Benita Ekpo on Saturday 8th June 2013 in Lagos with much fanfare!


 Kenny as he is fondly called is talented scriptwriter behind several award winning screenplays like 'Kiss & Tell', 'I'll Take My Chances', 'Weekend Getaway' (which he co-wrote) and many more. We wish him and his lovely bride many, more happy years. Enjoy some lovely pics from the event.

MAJID MICHEL, INI EDO IN EMEM ISONG’S ‘KNOCKING ON HEAVEN’S DOOR’!

It's another great movie being cooked up by the Royal Arts productions as they come up with a movie, 'Knocking On Heaven's Door'. This movie is executive produced by Emem Isong & Ini Edo-Ehiagwina and stars Ini Edo, Majid Michel, Chuks Chukwujekwu & Adesue Etomi.

The movie is gospel-themed and is set for release later next year! Can't wait! :)
