Royal Arts Academy this quarter.

It’s been a busy year for us at Royal Arts Academy. We started the year with the shoot of OkonLagos, produced by Uduak Oguamanam and directed by Desmond Elliot and stepped up to I’ll Take My Chances produced by Ini Edo and Emem Isong and directed by Desmond Elliot. We really took our chances in that one as it is our most ambitious project ever. It cost an arm and a leg to make but it was about time and we are certain our fans and friends will love it. The haters are free to hate it too. Wink wink.

That’s why for this quarter we are concentrating on releases. Coming first to a store near you this month is OkonLagos. It’s a story about a hunter who leaves the wilds of Akwa Ibom State to attempt to make it in Lagos. It’s a break from our usual love stories, we thought we should crack ya ribs a bit. OkonLagos stars Ime Umoh, Moses Armstrong, Monalisa Chinda and debuts three Royal Arts Academy students in sub lead roles.

Immediately after that will come the much awaited Memories of My Heart starring Ramsey Noah, Ini Edo, Uche Jombo, Nse Ikpe-Etim etc. It is produced by Emem Isong and Ini Edo and directed by Desmond Elliot, yes, Desmond again.

And hitting the cinemas soon is Kiss and Tell,a romantic comedy produced by Monalisa Chinda and Emem Isong and you guessed right, directed by Desmond Elliot. It features the handsome Joseph Benjamin and Monalisa Chinda. It also introduces Ijeoma Agu, one of our most brilliant ex students at Royal Arts. It will premiere in the first week of June. If you’ve never attended any of our premieres, you shouldn’t miss Kiss and Tell.

There are many more projects in the making including our soap opera : Catwalq and our student film. We’ll bring you more as the year progresses. Thank you for keeping faith with us. You are the reason we work so hard.
